What’s On In Rioja
La Cata del Barrio de la Estación (Haro)
June 13 @ 9:00 am – 10:00 pm
If there’s one Rioja date that serious wine lovers quietly plan their year around, it’s La Cata del Barrio de la Estación. For one day, Haro’s historic “station district” becomes a walkable trail of tastings and bites — the sort of event where you can compare styles, houses and signatures without ever getting in a car.
It’s also wonderfully “Rioja”: bodegas with real history, a sense of place you can feel underfoot, and a crowd that’s there to enjoy themselves properly. You’re tasting in the environment that helped build Rioja’s global reputation — and then you finish the day in Haro’s bars and squares, still buzzing, still hungry, still debating your favourite glass.
Plan your visit
- Base yourself: Haro is ideal (walkable). If it’s full, try Logroño and come in early.
- Book early: Haro sells out fast for June weekends (especially event weekends).
- Pace it: Eat as you go, keep water with you, and plan a “sit-down reset” mid-afternoon.
